and this basically means looking out of the window EVERY time a car that sounds like a van drives down my road. I also can’t see the road from my window so I’m also running into my sister’s room to see the potential courier van. Keep telling myself that this is the last time I’ll check.

Not gonna lie, when my sister told me this video made her cry I laughed. Two minutes later I was crying too! Not entirely sure why… love Beyonce.

Was just casually making cupcakes and dancing to music (country - the only music to cook to) and a couple from church turned up expecting dinner at my house before a meeting. My mum, meanwhile, had gone off to Zumba exercise class and totally forgotten. It wasn’t even in the diary. So I take their coats, get coffees etc, and offer them the (very mismatched and random) meal I was planning on cooking my family later. I also called the leisure centre and asked them to tell my mum! They decide in the end to go to the pub and come back later for the meeting. Just as they are leaving my mum luckily turns up and so now they’ve gone together to the pub. BAHAHHAHAHAh. I felt so bad for the lovely couple and was a really awkward situation. Oh dear! What is my mother like?!!

So far I have had to use plain flour and baking powder instead of self raising, and the bottoms of the cakes are soggy. Taste good though. If the icing is ok then I say it’s a success. Come on and cool now cakes.

36 cupcakes to give as gifts to various family members! I already have the gift boxes, I just need cases, glitter and decorations.
I’m also going to possibly make my own christmas cake, definitely make mince pies, and probably baileys cheesecake.
